  1. A MESSAGE OF SOLIDARITY AND SHARED NATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

The United Labour Party of South Sudan (ULPOSS), under the leadership of its Chairman, Ernest Ogwaro, expresses its solidarity with the National Alliance for Democratic Change, led by Dr. Lako Kwaje, in its call for national unity, the restoration of human dignity, and peaceful democratic transformation in South Sudan.

We recognise the importance of constructive cooperation among political parties, movements, civil society organisations, and other national stakeholders who share the aspirations of the South Sudanese people for peace, justice, freedom, accountability, and democratic governance.

Our country was founded on the sacrifices and aspirations of its people, who struggled for freedom and self-determination. The promise of independence must be reflected in the daily lives of citizens through peace, security, economic opportunity, quality public services, and respect for human rights.

However, continuing political uncertainty, economic hardship, insecurity, and weaknesses in public institutions remain serious concerns for our nation.

South Sudan deserves a future in which the dignity of every citizen is protected, public resources are managed responsibly, and leadership is exercised as a responsibility to serve the people.

It is in this spirit that ULPOSS extends its hand in solidarity to the National Alliance for Democratic Change and all other national forces committed to peaceful and democratic transformation.

  1. UNITING OUR EFFORTS FOR DEMOCRATIC CHANGE

The United Labour Party of South Sudan believes that meaningful political change requires cooperation, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to the national interest.

We recognise that political organisations may have different histories, ideologies, structures, and approaches. Nevertheless, our common responsibility to the people of South Sudan calls upon us to identify areas of agreement and work together constructively.

We therefore welcome efforts to strengthen cooperation among opposition parties and democratic forces, including initiatives aimed at developing a common national agenda for constitutional governance, peace, security, economic recovery, and institutional reform.

Our solidarity is based on shared principles rather than the abandonment of our respective political identities.

ULPOSS remains committed to its own constitutional mandate, policies, and organisational independence while recognising the importance of strategic partnerships that advance the interests of the South Sudanese people.

We believe that opposition unity must be built on mutual trust, respect for each organisation’s independence, and a common commitment to peaceful democratic change.

We encourage all political stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue, overcome unnecessary divisions, and establish practical mechanisms for cooperation in pursuit of a better future for our country.

  1. RESTORING HUMAN DIGNITY AND ACCOUNTABLE GOVERNANCE

The United Labour Party of South Sudan shares the conviction that every South Sudanese citizen deserves to live in dignity, peace, and security.

Our people deserve access to healthcare, education, clean water, employment, economic opportunity, and justice under the law.

We believe that national development requires accountable leadership, transparent management of public resources, independent institutions, and effective measures to prevent and address corruption.

Public office must never be treated as personal property. It must remain a public trust exercised in the service of the nation.

ULPOSS calls for governance arrangements that protect fundamental freedoms, uphold constitutional principles, promote equality before the law, and ensure that national institutions serve all citizens without discrimination.

We also recognise that sustainable peace requires reconciliation, respect for cultural diversity, and the rejection of political violence and intimidation.

Our objective is not revenge against any individual or group. It is the advancement of a political environment in which justice, accountability, and democratic participation are protected.

  1. OUR SHARED NATIONAL PRIORITIES

In extending this hand of solidarity, ULPOSS emphasises the importance of a practical national programme that responds to the real challenges facing South Sudan.

We identify the following priorities as important areas for dialogue and cooperation among democratic forces.

A. Constitutional governance and the rule of law

Strengthening constitutional institutions, protecting fundamental rights, promoting judicial independence, and ensuring accountability across all branches of government must remain central to democratic transformation.

B. Peace and security

We support peaceful political engagement, inclusive dialogue, national reconciliation, and professional security institutions that protect civilians and operate within the law.

C. Economic recovery and responsible resource management

South Sudan’s natural resources must benefit its people. We advocate transparency in public expenditure, responsible revenue management, agricultural development, employment creation, infrastructure investment, and opportunities for responsible private and diaspora investment.

D. Healthcare, education, and public services

Every citizen deserves access to essential public services. National development must prioritise healthcare facilities, education, clean water, sanitation, and improved living conditions.

E. Youth and women’s participation

Young people and women must have meaningful opportunities to contribute to political leadership, public administration, entrepreneurship, and national development.

F. Inclusive national dialogue and reconciliation

Political and community differences must be addressed through dialogue, mutual respect, and peaceful mechanisms that promote national cohesion.

G. Credible and peaceful democratic processes

The legitimacy of democratic processes depends on public confidence, appropriate legal and institutional arrangements, security for political participation, and meaningful opportunities for political competition.

These priorities provide a foundation for constructive engagement. We encourage all participating political organisations to develop practical proposals and implementation mechanisms through inclusive consultation.

  1. A CALL FOR RESPONSIBLE POLITICAL LEADERSHIP

The United Labour Party of South Sudan calls upon political leaders across the country to place the national interest above personal ambition and partisan considerations.

Leadership must be demonstrated through integrity, responsibility, respect for the law, and a genuine commitment to serving the people.

Political competition should not become a source of hatred, intimidation, or violence. Instead, it should provide an opportunity for citizens to assess ideas, policies, leadership records, and proposed solutions to national challenges.

We encourage the emergence of a political culture in which differences are addressed through dialogue and democratic participation.

We further call upon opposition forces to strengthen their coordination without compromising their independence, principles, or responsibility to their respective constituencies.

South Sudan needs responsible political leadership, strong institutions, and a united commitment to the peaceful transformation of our nation.

  1. OUR HAND OF SOLIDARITY TO THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR DEMOCRATIC CHANGE

In the spirit of national responsibility, the United Labour Party of South Sudan extends its hand of solidarity to the National Alliance for Democratic Change and its authorised leader, Dr. Lako Kwaje.

We welcome dialogue and constructive engagement aimed at identifying common objectives, strengthening cooperation, and advancing peaceful democratic transformation.

We believe that cooperation among political organisations should be guided by mutual respect, transparency, clear principles, and a shared commitment to the people of South Sudan.

Our solidarity represents a willingness to work together where our objectives align, while preserving the identity, constitutional independence, and organisational integrity of ULPOSS.

We encourage the National Alliance for Democratic Change and all like-minded national forces to continue engaging political stakeholders in the pursuit of an inclusive national vision.

The future of South Sudan cannot be secured by one party or individual alone. It requires collective responsibility, constructive dialogue, and the participation of citizens from all communities and regions.

  1. OUR MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH SUDAN

Fellow citizens,

The future of our country remains in our collective hands.

We must not allow despair, political divisions, or differences of opinion to destroy our hope for a peaceful and prosperous South Sudan.

We call upon our citizens at home and abroad to remain committed to peaceful political participation, national reconciliation, accountability, and the protection of human dignity.

Let us encourage dialogue instead of violence, cooperation instead of unnecessary division, and responsible leadership instead of personal ambition.

Let us build a nation where public institutions serve the people, national resources contribute to development, and every citizen enjoys equal protection under the law.

The United Labour Party of South Sudan remains committed to working with all national stakeholders who share these objectives.

Our solidarity is rooted in the belief that a better future is possible when political organisations recognise their common responsibilities and work constructively for the national good.

CONCLUSION: TOGETHER FOR A BETTER SOUTH SUDAN

The United Labour Party of South Sudan reaffirms its commitment to peaceful democratic transformation, accountable governance, national unity, and the restoration of human dignity.

We extend our hand in solidarity to the National Alliance for Democratic Change, led by Dr. Lako Kwaje, and to all political organisations and national stakeholders committed to these principles.

Let us work together to strengthen democratic institutions, promote peace and reconciliation, improve public services, and create opportunities for all South Sudanese.

Let us demonstrate that political differences need not prevent cooperation in the national interest.

Let us build a country where leadership is a responsibility, governance is a service, and national resources benefit the people.

Together, let us restore human dignity.

Together, let us promote peaceful democratic change.

Together, let us strengthen cooperation among national forces.

Together, let us build a South Sudan that serves all its people.
